I have always had pets in my life. Cats, birds, horses, snakes, turtles, squirrels, chipmunks, and even skunks - but mostly dogs. My first dog came into my life when I was three. They have been a big part of my life ever since. I have always had a connection with dogs and other animals. It seems that dogs, cats and birds can sense that they can trust me almost instantly. I have never met a dog I could not make friends with. My current furry friends are Newfie a 7 year old Border Collie and Rupert, a 4 year old Husky cross. Both were rescues who had been abused. It took a lot of patience and TLC to win their trust, but it has been more than worth the effort.
After almost 40 years in the business world, I found myself down-sized. I decided I was tired of working for someone else. I wanted to start a business doing something I could enjoy. I love working with dogs and other pets. Since I was already spending several hours a day at the off-leash park, I decided to start a business that would allow me to work with many different pets, and spend my days out at the park. Pet Sitting and Dog Walking does just that.
The dog owners at the park have seen how quickly timid, shy, or frightened dogs take to me. These dog owners started calling me the Dogfather, which is where I got the name for my business.
Although I have almost 50 years of experience with pets of all kinds, I am committed to furthering my education in order to provide the best service possible to my clients and their pets.
